Fifty Boutique wants everyone to be able to browse and buy from https://www.fiftyboutique.com, including people who use assistive technology.
1. Standard we work towards
We aim to align this website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA, and we take account of the European standard EN 301 549 referenced by Directive (EU) 2019/882 (the European Accessibility Act).
2. Our legal position
Fifty Boutique is a microenterprise: it employs fewer than 10 people and has an annual turnover below €2 million. Under Article 4(5) of Directive (EU) 2019/882, microenterprises providing services are exempt from the accessibility requirements of the European Accessibility Act. We nevertheless work towards these standards voluntarily, because we believe an accessible shop is simply a better shop.
3. Measures we take
- Text alternatives for meaningful images
- Semantic headings, landmarks and lists so that screen readers can navigate the page
- Keyboard access to navigation, search, product options, cart and checkout
- Visible focus indicators on interactive elements
- Colour contrast that aims to meet the 4.5:1 ratio for body text
- Form fields with associated labels and clear error messages
- Responsive layouts that support zoom and reflow on small screens
- No content that flashes more than three times per second
4. Known limitations
Parts of this website rely on third-party software — including our e-commerce platform, payment providers and embedded social media content — over which we have limited control. Some third-party components may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We review these regularly and raise issues with the providers concerned.
5. Feedback and assistance
If you encounter a barrier on this website, or if you would like information about a product in an alternative format, please contact us at info@fiftyboutique.com. Please describe the page and the problem so we can reproduce it. We aim to respond within 5 business days and will offer an alternative way to complete your purchase in the meantime — for example by email or WhatsApp.
6. Enforcement
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the market surveillance or enforcement authority responsible for accessibility in your country of residence.
